It was recently confirmed by KC Pet Project that Derrick Nnadi decided to celebrate his triumph in an incredible way – paying for adoption fees for all adoptable dogs..
It was 50 years ago when Kansas City Chiefs won the San Fransisco 49ers, but this time they came to pull off an incredible victory by winning 31-20.
It is now confirmed on Facebook by a representative for the KC Pet Project that Nandi has celebrated each and every one of his triumphs during this season in a surprising way;
‘KC WINS! We are so excited to announce that the Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi is choosing to celebrate the Super Bowl win by paying for the adoptions of all the adoptable dogs currently at KC Pet Project!
We have had an amazing, season-long, partnership with Derrick and he couldn’t have thought of a better ending.’
The selfless act of kindness of the 23-year-old athlete has amassed countless reactions and inspired fans and animal lovers all over the world to follow in his footsteps.
The defensive tackle player has two pooches himself, inspiring him to use his blessings to save the lives of many shelter dogs.
Nnadi is renowned for his genuine love for animals; back in September he first announced a partnership between the Derrick Nnadi Foundation and the KC Pet Project.

Got some exciting news before we get this season started!! I will be partnering with the @kcpetproject “when the Chiefs win”, so does a dog in need. After every victory I’ll cover the adoption fees for a pup to get them into their forever home ASAP! Time to stack these wins 😌🐶
He pledged to fund the adoption fees for homeless canines with each triumph during the current season.
In an interview with CBS News the KC Pet Project explained how the partnership has turned around the lives of many dogs:
‘Thanks to his incredible support following this win, more than 100 available dogs in our care will have their adoption fees sponsored starting today.We’ve had an average of 20 new dogs coming into our shelter every day recently so this comes at a great time as our shelter is full of wonderful pets looking for homes.’
We congratulate Nnadi for his remarkable victory and on top of that for saving more that one hundred dogs from shelter life.
We definitely hope that Nnadi will pull off with his teammates more victories in the future!
