Way too often are Pitbulls misjudged as being aggressive and vicious doggos when, in fact, this can’t be any further from the truth. Just like with humans, a dog is only as good as what he’s been raised to be. There are exceptions, of course, just like this next stray Pitbull who was never raised or trained to be the sweetheart that he is, he was simply born that way. The internet community fell in love with the adorable stray pitbull after seeing how he guards a missing toddler who went missing. The sweet little stray pittie didn’t let the young boy out of his sight until he saw that he’s reunited with his parents.
It all started when the toddler managed to find a way to get out of his home in Missouri. The toddler wandered around the neighborhood all on his own when he crossed paths with the friendly pittie. The stray pitbull must have known that the boy may get into trouble without him, so he decided to escort him.
The adorable duo wandered around the neighborhood uninterrupted until a kind woman spotted them while walking her own two doggos. When later speaking to Fox2News, the woman described the toddler: “He looked well taken care of, he was very neat, very clean; he just didn’t have the shoes on.”
The kind woman knew that even though the pattie had the best intentions in mind, it was up to her to find the toddler’s parents. The woman began knocking on doors up and down the street, attempting to find anyone who’d recognize the boy. The whole time the Pitbull followed them closely and didn’t let them get out of his sight.
After about an hour of searching, the boy’s father noticed his son’s missing, and contacted authorities, who quickly tracked down the toddler. The father rushed to the scene and even got to meet the woman and pooch that kept his son safe. When interviewed by Fox News the woman had a message to her community: “It is important that we stick together, that we help each other, that we go back to the things that our grandparents and their community used to do. That we build a sense of unity.”
The St. Louis took possession of the vigilant pooch and are now considering to recruit him and get his help solving other mysteries.
