Pittbull Refuses To Leave His Mom’s Hospital Room After Saving Her Life

If you needed any proof that dogs make the most loyal pets on the planet continue reading.

A young woman by the name of Shauna Darcy was going through a stressful period of her life. After dealing with anxiety-related issues for a while, Shauna decided that a support dog could help her cope with her stress. This decision was later proven to be life-saving.

Shauna adopted a charming service Pitbull named Ruby, and it was love at first sight. The two instantly bonded while in service dog training. But that wasn’t the only thing that happened in their training. Shauna noticed that her doggo is picking up on changes in her heart rate. Ruby would “act funny” every time her owner’s heart rate changed, pawing at her and trying to catch her attention.

Shauna didn’t ignore her dog’s hints and went to see a doctor. She was diagnosed with vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a rare and life-threatening heart condition. The vigilant pooch, who knew that something was wrong with her owner, even before she did, had yet another duty. Ruby was no longer just a service dog, helping Shauna on her panic attacks, she was also responsible for monitoring her heart rate.

Shauna said that whenever she fainted as a result of her condition, Ruby would climb on her to apply pressure on her chest and licked her face and hands until she came back to consciousness. Ruby’s bravery didn’t stop there though.

After a few months of having the doggo, Ruby started to act funny, trying to alert Shauna that something was wrong. Despite feeling completely fine, Shauna chose to trust her doggo and called an ambulance. By the time the medics arrived at her home, Shauna was in extreme pain and on the verge of losing consciousness.

Ruby didn’t let Shauna get on the ambulance alone, and came with her to the hospital, where she refused to leave her bedside. After recovering Shauna showered her dog with endless amounts of love, knowing that she wouldn’t have survived without her.

This just goes to show what compassionate and loyal creatures dogs are. If you agree, share this inspirational story with your friends and family!
