Man Wakes Up To Mysterious Cat Cuddling Him As He Recovers From A Surgery

When we are down or feeling sick, more than anything, two things can comfort us and make us feel a bit better, love and affection. Those who have ever owned a pet know that animals can tell when we feel bad and even give accompanying us to cheer us up.

When a man had come back home from the hospital after surgery, he was caught snuggling up with his cat, but the surprising thing is that the man didn’t even own a cat.

Mr. Falloon was recovering from surgery at home as his wife found his snuggling with a stranger feline at home. Seemingly the cat understood that Mr. Falloon felt bad and wanted to give him some comfort by offering to snuggle.

As Mr. Falloon woke up from a nap the other day, he noticed a friendly feline greeting him. The mystery cat started cuddling by his neck, and his wife knew it was an incredible moment that was worth capturing.

When their son, Andrew Falloon, a member of parliament of Ranigitata in New Zealand, saw the photos, he was completely smitten by them.

Andrew said: “Mum arrived home and found them cuddled up together on the couch. She snapped the photo before waking Dad up. He was pretty surprised to find the cat curled up!” When his mom later showed him the photo, he knew it would warm people’s hearts up so he tweeted it.

“After Mum sent me the photo I popped it up on Twitter, thinking it might make a few people smile, but I never expected it would go so far. When I went to bed on Sunday night (New Zealand time) it had a couple of thousand views, when I woke up it was in the millions. Now it’s in the tens of millions.”

Speaking further Falloon wrote that, “He’s from somewhere in the neighborhood. It isn’t the first time he’s turned up to their house, but his first time he’s jumped up on Dad. Apparently, his name is Ziggy and it’s quite common for him to go wandering.” The affectionate cat stayed for a while with Mr. Falloon and wandered back out.

Although Mr. Falloon never really has liked cats, we bet he does now. His son said, “Up until now my Dad hasn’t really been much of a cat person, but I guess he is now.” Ziggy comes by every now and then to spend some time with Mr. Falloon “Ziggy seems to have adopted my Dad, so I’m not sure if they’ll get another cat. My parents are just happy to have him visit every so often.”

He continued, “It’s nice to have Dad on the mend after his operation, but he’s a bit blown away by all the coverage. I had to explain to him what Twitter was and how it’s been seen by so many people.”
