Dogs are known for their complete and utter loyalty to their owners, but what about cats? The kitty in our next story proves that despite being often perceived as indifferent and uncaring, felines can be just as loyal as canines.
Keli Keningau Prayitno from Central Java, Indonesia, first spotted the kitty lying on the ground next to her deceased owner’s grave and cuddling with her blue headstone.
The 28-year-old man even tried to adopt the stray cat and bring her home with him, but all his attempts failed. The kitty only wanted to be next to her previous owner and kept returning to her burial site, to sleep next to her.
After doing a bit of investigating, the man discovered that the kitty walks to her old owner’s home every day to be fed by her daughters, and then returns to the grave. The feline persistently kept the routine and did this every single day for the past year.
Numerous people have attempted to adopt the cat and provide her with a loving home since her mother’s death, but without success. In an interview with The Mirror, Keli Keningau Prayitno said: “We take some food and water to the cat but she still likes to go home. She’s at the grave everyday.”
It’s heartbreaking to see how animals get attached to their owners and grieve them when they’re gone.
