He Walked His Human Parents Down The Aisle And Passed Away

People love their dogs so much that they include them in the most important moments of their lives.

Charlie is a lovely black Labrador that was lucky enough to attend one of the most emotional days in his owner’s life.

Once Kelly O’Connell, Charlie’s owner got engaged, she knew that she wanted to have her beloved pooch on her wedding day. Sadly, the 15-year-old dog had a brain tumor, and she hoped that he would make it to the wedding.

The special day had come, and happily, Charlie made it. Although his medical condition wasn’t good, everyone was happy to see him making an effort. His owners, Kelly and her partner, James Garvin who were both vets, wanted their four-legged companion to walk down the aisle with O’Connell’s sister.

As the senior dog took slow steps towards the altar, he got tired and so O’Connell’s sister, Katie Lloyd picked up the 35-kilo doggo and proudly carried him all the way to his excited parents.

The whole situation tugged at the newlyweds’ heartstrings, and they started to cry. When O’Connell saw Charlie struggling to do such basic thing as walking, she realized he was getting old, and it tore her heart out.

Luckily, Jen Dziuvenis, O’Connell’s friend, took some heart-melting pictures that cherished the emotional moment.

She posted on Facebook: “When your beloved dog who is at the end of his life can’t make it back up the aisle and your sister scoops him up and carries him …. THAT is love.” She added, “There isn’t enough mascara in the world for these moments. Dog people are the best people.”

And then, after a few days, the sad day had arrived. It was as if Charlie had been waiting for the special day to come and when it finally arrived and saw his parents happy, he felt like it was his time to leave the world to dog heaven.

Rest in peace, dear Charlie, you are missed.
