The brave teenager who was scared of dogs saw the hapless doggo covered with blood and knew she had to step up and help her although she was terrified from getting near the dog.

She rushed into action and called her mother, grandfather, and grandmother. Sadly, they said that she should let it go for they couldn’t do something about it. But she couldn’t leave her there to fend for herself. The shy canine was helpless.

And so she tried calling her dad who said that he could come in two hours. Valkova sat by the dog’s side for more than two hours waiting for her dad to arrive. When he came, he gave her a blanket and told her to take her to the vet on foot.

For five minutes, Valkova tried to catch the scared dog until she managed to wrap her in the blanket and carry her with a friend to the vet. Her dad drove to the clinic to meet them there.

When they arrived at the vet, she received proper medical treatment, and it was discovered that she had demodicosis. Her wounds were cleaned, she got antibiotics and stayed there for the night.

The girl who was afraid of dogs asked her mother to go see her for she wanted to keep her. Her mom agreed although the pooch’s medical expenses were high to the degree that they needed to borrow money to be able to get her medicine.

The 16-year-old gave her a bath, and they both were scared. The dog was scared of the shower while Valkova was scared of the dog. The compassionate girl dried her, and the dog claimed her bed.

She named her Alfeiya and started to bond with her. Alfeiya has flourished into a loving doggo and she’s happy she has found her forever home.

She posted a picture of the poor pooch and wrote on Imgur “Alfeiya’s journey to healing”. She wanted to raise awareness and inspire people to be more empathic.
