Family Built Their Senior Dog A Special Ramp To The Lawn

Owning a pet comes with a great deal of responsibility. Just like regular parents, pet parents are also liable for their animals’ well-being and safety in return to their endless unconditional love. As the pets grow older though, owners are required to make their life as comfortable as possible, and this family from Nashua, New Hampshire, sure did an excellent job in keeping their aging pooch comfy.

A neighbor of the family who drove passed their house every day was puzzled by the way they built their wheelchair ramp. Instead of going straight from the front door to the driveway, this unusual ramp took a long and winding path that, strangely, ended in their backyard.

Then, one day, the man got his surprising answer. As he drove passed their house, the man spotted a chunky senior dog climbing the ramp. It was built especially for her!

Alex, the man’s daughter, later explained in her post on the Facebook group Dogspotting, that the dog, who’s named Nestlé, has mobility issues so her family built her a ramp so she could still go out to the lawn. She wrote: “For weeks my Dad didn’t understand why our neighbors would build a wheelchair ramp into the lawn instead of the driveway. Then we saw this elderly, chunky pup in the yard who can’t climb stairs anymore. Dad has replaced his confusion with admiration for these 10/10 owners and their very good dog.”

It’s heartwarming that this family went to such an admirable extent, only to assure that their adorable aging dog is still able to play in their lawn.
