Enthusiasm Sidesplittingly Leads Dog To Fail Service Dog Test

It appears to be that being over-enthusiastic at times may fail you. Meet Ryker, a German Shepard who was trained to be a service dog, but he loves it too much to the point that he’s super bad at it. Double H Canine Training Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, shared a hysterical video of a dedicated dog who fails each of his service dog tests.

The video description says: “Every dog has a purpose 🙂. Clearly, Ryker’s purpose is not to be a service dog. Check out this video documenting his good-hearted attempt 😳. Disclaimer: This Training was attempted by trained professionals 😳do not try at home.”The hilarious video instantly captured the internet’s heart! As Frank Sinatra sings in the soundtrack, My Way, Ryker shows us how he does it his way.

Service dogs’ duty is assisting humans with disabilities. The Americans with Disabilities Act‘s definition to service dogs is: “dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.”

In their expansive training, they learn how to do multiple impressive tasks that destined to assist people with disabilities. From alerting seizures to guiding their companions and retrieving items, they learn lots of responsibilities. The training is intense, and only dedicated dogs can uphold the requirements.

But before assigning trained dogs to people who need them, they have to prove that they are qualified to take on such responsibility by passing several tests.

But marvelous Ryker took the service dog tests to a whole new level. He was so excited to do all the tasks! Some might even say that he was too enthusiastic. Anyways, we find it side-splitting!

On the moving an empty wheelchair task, he grabs the wheelchair, and it falls over. Think what would have happened if a disabled human sat on that device. When the trainer throws a ball to see whether Ryker is distracted by it, he falls right into it and jumps to catch the ball as the man falls from the wheelchair. The other dogs in the background are shocked by his horrible performances.
