Dog Waits On The Bridge For 4 Days After His Owner Jumped

Dogs are called man’s best friends for a reason. Their loyalty sees no boundaries, and they will do anything within their power to reunite with their owners when separated. Just like this loyal dog, who waits on the bridge his owner jumped from, in anticipation of his return.

The doggo returns to his owner’s jumping spot on the Yangtze Bridge in notorious Wuhan, China, every day since his suicide. Xu, a resident of the city, who knew the dog’s background, spotted him and attempted to capture and adopt him, but the doggo escaped.

Speaking to Pear Video, director of Wuhan Small Animal Protection Association Du Fan, described how he discovered the doggo’s disturbing background. Fan said: We asked the bridge officers to check what exactly happened. It was really dark, [we] couldn’t see much on the surveillance footage. We still hope to find a new owner for the dog. We think it’s too sad for such a loyal dog to stray on the streets. The Wuhan Small Animal Protection Association is currently trying to track the dog and rehome him in a stable forever home.
